Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Specialist. This professional will be purchasing products and materials, updating, and managing inventory and stock levels, building relationships with suppliers, and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales.

• Update, verify, change, and complete purchase requisitions (buy reports or purchasing requests) by comparing items requested to actual demand, minimum requirements and usage trend.
• Obtain quotes from vendors/suppliers.
• Resolve invoice and shipping discrepancy issues with vendors.
• Work closely with accounting and shipping department to resolve issues.
• Complete weekly or daily assigned reports, e.g., Cost Change, Unacknowledged, Open PO, Stock Analysis, etc.
• Help maintain system costs in P21.

Position Requirements

• Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills, basic math & reading skills.
• Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Intermediate level Microsoft Excel experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
