We're looking for an experienced Production Manager with a background in dairy manufacturing-especially fluid milk processing-to lead our team and drive performance.
What you will be doing:
As Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of milk production, including pasteurization, homogenization, filling, and sanitation. You'll lead a team of operators and technicians, ensuring compliance with dairy industry standards and optimizing production efficiency.
Main Responsibilities

• Supervise daily milk processing operations, including pasteurization and packaging
• Ensure compliance with FDA, PMO, HACCP, and SQF standards
• Lead and coach production staff to meet safety, quality, and output goals
• Manage Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and sanitation protocols
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance
• Analyze production data and implement process improvements
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and logistics teams
• Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• 5+ years of experience in dairy manufacturing, specifically fluid milk processing
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of pasteurization, homogenization, and dairy packaging systems
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in production software and data analysis tools

The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Milk Plant Production Manager. This position is located in San Leandro, CA . The salary range is $105,900 to $158,700 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
