As a Pharmacy Technician - Mobile, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services while supporting multiple healthcare locations in accordance with state and federal regulations. You’ll utilize pharmacy systems to manage patient and medication information and facilitate prescription processing. Along the way, you will mentor fellow pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to our policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Traveling between various healthcare centers.
• Adhering to the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct.
• Providing exceptional customer service by greeting patients and healthcare providers, answering inquiries, and referring complex issues to the Pharmacist.
• Maintaining pharmacy inventory by evaluating stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying received medications.
• Ensuring a safe and organized work environment by following all operational procedures and compliance regulations.
• Assisting the Pharmacist with duties such as entering patient information, dispensing medications accurately, and monitoring for drug interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and following company policies for quality improvement.
• Engaging actively with patients to ensure they have a positive experience and addressing their concerns efficiently.
• Handling transactions accurately with the assigned cash register and managing cash as needed.
• Coordinating with team members to streamline operations and achieve departmental goals.
• Processing third-party insurance claims accurately and promptly.
• Maintaining required licensure and certification while pursuing ongoing training and educational opportunities.
• Continuously improving knowledge and skills in both pharmacy and healthcare.
• Performing additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Current pharmacy technician registration and licensure as required for the state.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including data entry.

Compensation:

$16.50 - $23.56 per hour
