Entry Level Maintenance Technician

Join a dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician within a fast-paced food processing company. Work with high-speed packaging and various shaping equipment for processing chicken products, including frozen, chilled, or partially fried. This role emphasizes preventative maintenance and troubleshooting in both mechanical and electrical capacities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of maintenance to ensure uninterrupted facility production.
• Operate under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to all health and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues with high-speed packaging equipment.
• Safely manage electrical tasks, including working with systems up to 480v.
• Implement preventative maintenance plans as directed by management.

Essential Skills

• Completion of Trade School in industrial maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Competence in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
• Proficiency in working with 480v, 3-phase electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Technical School preferred.
• Experience or knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ownership of basic tool set is a plus for entry-level candidates.

Work Environment

Work in a large facility with over 400 employees operating across two shifts. The environment includes multiple loading docks and a robust inventory system for processing chicken products. The maintenance team comprises a manager, three supervisors, an assistant supervisor, and 17 technicians.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
