The Opportunity:

As a network engineer on our team, you'll apply your expertise in routing and switching, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with designing and implementing LANs and VLANs

• 3+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and providing advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks

• 3+ years of experience with creating new network architectures or modifying existing architectures to meet changing client needs

• 2+ years of experience with the application of network design methodologies and network architecture principles

• 2+ years of experience with deploying, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions

• Experience with classified networks

• Knowledge of access controls, network security, and communication and routing protocols

• Ability to analyze, recommend, and design new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor's degree in an IT field and 4+ years of experience with IT, or 8+ years of experience with IT in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes

• Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies, including VMware, EMC, and NetApp

• Knowledge of integrating traditional on-prem network setups or service with cloud-based solutions

• Ability to assist in all aspects of network management, from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems

• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost-efficient

• Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions with internal and external organizations

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
