Leidos is looking for a Senior Load Balance Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining a significant enterprise IT contract with the Department of Defense. This position entails the implementation, operation, and maintenance of load balancer technologies within a global enterprise spanning multiple networks. Key responsibilities will involve technology upgrades, performance tuning, and executing critical system patches across both on-premises and cloud environments. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the highest level of service is delivered for both internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain operational readiness of Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and PKI authentication features on F5 appliances.
• Ensure load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up per customer policies.
• Notify customers of upcoming PKI certificate expirations and assist with renewals as needed.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot load-balanced IP address spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop and implement robust technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support to IT Operations Center personnel for troubleshooting service outages.
• Produce and update documentation including technical solutions and operating procedures for a 24/7 IT Operations Center.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise setting.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and managing F5 appliances, including relevant standards and concepts.
• Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Extensive experience in creating, managing, and troubleshooting load-balanced IP address spaces.
• Ability to work independently in meeting customer requirements.
• Proficiency in collaborating with team members on requirements and solutions.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.

Certifications

• Must meet DoDM (formerly DoD 8570) IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or a higher level).
• Must have an F5 Certified Administrator (201) certification or higher.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
• Equivalency options available: Associate's degree with 14 years of experience or High School Diploma with 16 years of related experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance

• Due to the nature of our government contracts, US Citizenship is required.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required or the willingness to obtain and maintain this clearance.

Pay Range: $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
