This job manages operations and oversees team members within the patient flow center. Acts as a liaison for staff, physicians, and administration for both internal and external partners on a day-to-day basis. Develops and is accountable for many financial objectives inclusive of internal labor productivity, external vendor spending, and patient payor transfer mixes. Prioritizes patient safety and workflow efficiency to ensure high quality patient care as patients move throughout the healthcare system to find the care and services they need.

Education:
Required Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or healthcare related field.
Preferred Master's degree in nursing, business, or healthcare related field.
Work Experience:
Required 5 years of supervisory experience in healthcare.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate with leaders at all levels across the organization as well as third party vendors.
- Knowledge and familiarity with hospital emergency department and patient operational landscapes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to work effectively, independently, and efficiently in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Ability to work on call and weekend shifts as needed.
Job Duties:
- Manages centralized patient movement for the healthcare system.
- Maintains accountability and relationships with appropriate 3rd party vendors.
- Ensures alignment with patient flow workflows while maintaining relationships with leaders at each campus.
- Leads patient flow focused workgroups and collaborates efforts with campus and service line leaders.
- Reviews and approves area specific Epic Grand Central tickets to ensure workflows remain current and applicable.
- Works as a patient flow lead and administrator as needed.
- Manages, develops, retains, and inspires an engaged workforce.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
