Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Process Engineering Pkg team supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging/Mechanical Engineer
Location: North Reading, MA - onsite
Duration: 11 Months on W2
Pay: $52/hour
What's the Job?
- Manage the development of packaging concepts with preferred packaging vendors and component part suppliers.
- Coordinate packaging performance testing, qualifications, and validations per ISTA standards.
- Plan and direct activities concerned with design and development of packaging, analyzing engineering drawings and specifications.
- Direct development of sketches, specifications, samples, and written analyses of proposed packaging solutions for design approvals.
- Create and manage supplier packaging database and maintain all packaging specific part numbers in the PLM system.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with packaging base materials and systems.
- Strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD design background.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
