Compensation Pay Range: $22.30 - $25.80. The actual hourly rate will be at least the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual and quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on various factors.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Materials Handler to efficiently pull and accurately prepare parts for shipment. Join our dynamic team to support our city counter operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process labels/orders to pull parts for shipment.
- Quickly and accurately pull parts from the specified location on the pick ticket/label and transport them to the city counter.
- Timely submission of back orders and surplus orders for processing.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to enhance customer service.
- Maintain neat and legible logs.
- Inspect packaging to ensure all parts are in good condition.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
- Document and report alternative locations for parts retrieval daily.
- Adhere to safety standards and identify unsafe practices.
- Train new team members as designated and ensure training schedules and documentation are complete.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required: Ability to read, write, and match labels, words, and numbers accurately; flexibility in scheduling; basic computer literacy; strong communication skills, especially in customer service; ability to multitask and work collaboratively.
- Desired: High school diploma or GED; experience with three-wheel buggies; prior picking experience; knowledge of warehouse practices; advanced computer skills; fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
