Job Description

The Human Resources Operations Specialist will partner with the recruiting team and support assigned departments. This role involves preparing offer letters, managing candidate progress, conducting onboarding, and ensuring new hires have a smooth start. Additionally, the specialist will handle offboarding processes, address employee relations inquiries, and provide guidance on policies and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with recruiting team to support assigned departments.

  • Prepare offer letters and accompanying documentation.

  • Communicate with hiring managers and track candidate progress.

  • Conduct onboarding and processing of orientation documentation.

  • Facilitate new hire acclimation to ensure a smooth start.

  • Prepare offboarding for employees separating from the company.

  • Handle inquiries related to employee relations, including promotions, transfers, conflicts, grievances, and investigations.

  • Support department supervisors and division heads.

  • Maintain communication with team members for policy updates and best practices.

  • Act as an HR 'first responder' for personnel and department inquiries.

  • Provide guidance on policies, processes, and benefits.

  • Handle daily operational HR tasks.

  • Generate custom reports and data analysis, and report on HR metrics.

  • Participate in the compliant maintenance of personnel files and update employee databases.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, supervisors, department leaders, and HR team members.

  • Stay informed of best practices and market trends in human resources and labor laws.

  • Prepare and amend HR documents as necessary.

  • Participate in HR projects, events, and activities.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in HR administration, onboarding, and employee relations.

  • Proficiency in HR support, including handling workers compensation claims.

  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Paylocity, or Workday.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.

  • At least seven years of demonstrated experience in human resources.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite software programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of generalist experience with autonomy in decision-making.

  • Ideally seven years of experience, but open to candidates with six years.

  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with team members and leadership.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ - $ /yr.

100% of medical dental and vision, 9 fed holidays, last week of December off, 401k 4% match, tuition reimbursement, eligible for yearly bonus, parking provided, wed/thurs lunch catered, transparent culture, openness to new ideas.
