What You Need to Know:Medical Director - Responsibilities
- The Medical Director will be the physician executive leader for the program and the supervisor of all non-field, medical personnel.
- Providing education to the interdisciplinary care team as needed.
- Will participate in the process to recruit, interview, inspire, and hire new physicians and nurse practitioners.
- In partnership with the office manager, the Medical Director will optimize patient care coverage and medical staff scheduling.
- The Medical Director will be part of the leadership team to support the survey process and ensure the site meets regulatory requirements.
- The Medical Director will represent AccentCare to the community in partnership with the Executive Director and business development teams.
- If the Medical Director also has patient care responsibilities these will be reviewed in the interview process.
- The AccentCare Medical Group expectation is that the Medical Director will exemplify what it means to be part of a care team and will lead the community around end-of-life issues.
Hospice Medical Director Qualifications:
Maintains an active license and DEA in the state where care is being provided.
