Associate Attorney

A respected California firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 10 years of experience to join its General Liability practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to handle complex cases while benefiting from mentorship, professional growth, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters from inception through resolution

Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery

Conduct depositions, hearings, and case evaluations

Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective litigation strategies

Assist with trial preparation and, when applicable, trial work

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active membership in the California State Bar

3 to 10 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Team player with a commitment to client service and professional growth

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience

Discretionary bonus opportunities based on performance and firm profitability

Hybrid schedule with 2 days in office per week
