A respected law firm is seeking a qualified Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its national and international insurance practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile matters advising insurance companies and representing them in complex coverage disputes. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience and excellent analytical skills to a collaborative, global-minded legal team.

Duties

Advise insurance carriers on a wide range of coverage issues

Represent insurers in coverage litigation involving commercial general liability, professional liability, and other specialty lines

Analyze complex policy language and claims facts to formulate coverage opinions

Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and legal memoranda

Conduct written and oral discovery, including taking and defending depositions

Appear at court hearings and argue motions

Assist in strategy development for litigation and resolution of insurance coverage disputes

Requirements

2-5 years of insurance coverage experience at a law firm

Proven background handling all stages of litigation, from pleadings through appeals

Strong knowledge of California insurance law and litigation practice

Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar

Trial experience is a plus

Education

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school

Excellent academic credentials preferred

Certifications

Active license to practice law in California

Additional bar admissions are a plus but not required
