Document Control Associate
The Document Control Associate is responsible for compiling and maintaining control records and related files for the release of drawings and engineering documents to various departments. This role ensures the completeness and accuracy of documents such as drawings, change orders, and specifications. The associate will confer with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and maintain the quality of documents.
Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain control records and related files to release drawings and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of documents such as drawings, change orders, and specifications.
- Confer with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and ensure quality of documents.
- Post changes to computerized or manual control records, release documents, and notify affected departments.
- Maintain related files and prepare requests for reproduction of documents as needed.
- Operate reproduction equipment and maintain accurate databases.
- Execute transactions recording the origination and life cycle history of all numbered documentation using the company's data control applications.
- Set up and maintain projects' master document registers on prescribed software.
- Manage and record the throughput of project documentation from internal departments, clients, and suppliers.
- Organize documentation for hard copies, CDs, etc.
- Take responsibility for project document archiving processes.
- Perform clerical work, screen mail, and compose correspondence based on general instruction.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Two (2) years experience in Administrative / Document Control.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in document management, including printing, scanning, Adobe PDF, flattening files, and editing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Experience with MS SharePoint or similar program is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with file management and documentation control processes.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, fully in-office. The role involves sedentary work, primarily sitting with limited walking and standing. Occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force may be required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
