Director of Finance - Netsuite

Overview

This Jobot role is hosted for a fast-growing health and wellness company in the CPG/direct-to-consumer space. The Director of Finance will guide the financial strategy, operations, and infrastructure to support the next phase of growth, with oversight of financial planning and analysis, NetSuite ERP, tax compliance, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in a DTC e-commerce environment (Shopify and Avalara preferred) is highly valued.

Base pay range : $180,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning aligned with growth targets; provide actionable insights and reporting to leadership to drive margin improvement and capital efficiency.
• Systems & Reporting: Own and optimize NetSuite implementation for accurate and scalable financial operations; collaborate to enhance financial dashboards, reporting, and integrations with Shopify and other platforms.
• Tax & Compliance: Oversee state and federal tax filings, coordinate with external tax advisors; manage sales tax compliance across jurisdictions (ideally using Avalara or similar tools).
• Operational Finance: Partner with executive and operations teams to ensure accurate COGS reporting, inventory controls, and supply chain finance support; analyze CAC, LTV, and unit economics with marketing and sales teams.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a small but growing finance team and external accounting partners; drive cross-functional financial education and support across the company.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in e-commerce, CPG, or health & wellness.
• Proven experience scaling a business from $20M+ to $100M+ in revenue.
• Strong command of NetSuite ERP, including system optimization and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify and sales tax compliance via Avalara.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, and tax regulations.
• Highly analytical, systems-oriented, capable of both strategic leadership and tactical execution.
• CPA or MBA a plus but not required.
