We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team, working under the guidance of experienced technicians. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle components and systems, both onsite and roadside.
• Conduct chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Work on refuse body systems, including hydraulic and electrical components, as well as air and hydraulic brakes.
• Handle engine repair and maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
• Provide service for heating and air conditioning units.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.
• Safely provide roadside assistance to ensure prompt repairs and return to operation.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions.
• Complete necessary training programs.
• Carry out other job-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of work order time standards.
• Experience in maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and Class 7-8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or vessels is beneficial.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) and a Commercial Driver's License are advantageous but not mandatory.
• A valid Driver's License is required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a technician role with knowledge of gasoline and diesel equipment diagnosis and repair, or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months.
• Ability to perform basic inspections under limited supervision across various truck or automotive systems including suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel emissions.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $25.92 - $38.88 per hour, plus a $5,500 sign-on bonus. Eligible employees can participate in comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, alongside options for health care spending accounts, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company matching.
