Skilled Diesel Technician

Pratt Waste & Recycling is actively looking for a Diesel Technician to join our dedicated team at our facility in Oxford, MA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 5:30pm / 50 to 55 hours per week / Saturdays as needed.

Pay Rate: Starting at $30.00+ based on experience.

Your Role:

• Conduct repairs, inspections, and safety checks, diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, engine, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles.

• Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and make necessary adjustments to Engine and Vehicle Control modules.

• Provide roadside assistance for emergency repairs.

• Review and address repairs flagged on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software applications.

• Perform test drives on trucks post-service and repair.

• Assist teammates with repairs as needed.

• Maintain professional and courteous communication with our drivers.

• Ensure a clean, safe work environment in accordance with corporate and OSHA standards.

• Perform other miscellaneous job-related tasks as necessary.

What We Require:

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to adapt to a variety of work environments.

• Experience in the waste industry is preferred.
