The Defense & Systems Market Analyst will play a critical role in supporting business strategy leaders by providing in-depth market data and analysis to inform strategic plans for business growth and competitiveness. This position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in market research and data analysis, ideally with a focus on the defense industry. The analyst will leverage their expertise to develop datasets, identify trends, assess competitive landscapes, and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a centralized defense market forecast and support the annual strategy review process through the creation of specific datasets.
• Monitor and interpret government budgets, contracts, and funding priorities to assess potential business opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive market research within the defense sector, including Department of Defense (DoD) budget trends, emerging technologies, procurement trends, and policy changes.
• Analyze adjacent markets to identify opportunities for GE Aerospace growth.
• Develop reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to business strategy leaders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, and program management) to align market insights with business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in market analysis, business strategy, or a related role, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) procurement processes, budgets, and contracting mechanisms.
• Knowledge of key DoD programs, technologies, and industry players.
• Understanding of lean principles and methodologies to lead the creation of standard processes.

Primary Location: Evendale, OH, with additional opportunities in Washington, DC.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

The base pay range for this position is $102,000.00-$122,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 11th, 2025.
