Job Overview

An established immigration law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco-based team. The position is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of experience advising institutional and individual clients on employment-based immigration matters. The role involves providing legal strategy, managing high-volume caseloads, and supervising petition preparation. This is a hybrid position that combines remote work flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Location

Duties

1. Provide legal counsel and risk assessments regarding eligibility for immigration benefits
2. Supervise and review work of legal assistants for NIV and IV petition preparation and filing
3. Oversee and manage a foreign national employee population, ensuring timely petition filings and legal compliance
4. Draft and file employment-based immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, and I-485 AOS applications
5. Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances
6. Deliver high-quality, accurate legal services across a high-volume caseload
7. Offer personalized and detail-oriented advisory services to clients

Requirements

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing business immigration law
2. Demonstrated experience with H-1B, L-1, and I-485 Adjustment of Status applications
3. Familiarity with tracking immigration deadlines and compliance requirements
4. Experience handling high-volume caseloads efficiently and effectively

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state

Skills

1. Proficiency in preparing and managing immigration petitions and filings
2. Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
3. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
4. Capable of providing individualized legal solutions within a structured workflow
5. Collaborative team member with leadership abilities for supervising staff
6. Experience with PERM, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher/Professor, and Multinational Manager petitions is a plus
