As an Associate Chief Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role in supervising and training our primary care providers (PCPs) in your assigned center. You'll be accountable for maximizing clinical quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction while also providing direct patient care as a PCP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, especially among older adults.
- Take full accountability for patient outcomes, collaborating with specialists when necessary.
- Engage with hospitalists for the care of your patients in hospital settings.
- Lead and coordinate care with your care team, ensuring comprehensive management of complex health needs.
- Conduct weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, supporting center clinical leadership.
- Participate actively in center management, including patient recruitment and provider interviews.
- Mentor and coach PCPs to foster outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with center operations to enhance financial performance and increase membership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other required applications.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally for training or recruitment purposes.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, with potential language requirements based on the center.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in clinical and operational matters.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty required.
- Active MD licensure in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting preferred.
- Completion of specific medical training programs as part of ongoing development.
- Board certification or eligibility in your specialty preferred.
- Must possess a current DEA number for controlled substances.
- BLS certification is required within the first 90 days of employment.
