A nationally expanding law firm is seeking an experienced and visionary Appellate Partner to lead its newly established appellate practice in Austin, TX. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a large, nationally respected appellate team on cases across multiple states. Duties
- Lead and manage the appellate practice in Texas
- Oversee client files, case strategy, and legal teams
- Maintain and develop client and carrier relationships
- Collaborate with a national network of over 30 appellate attorneys on active cases
- Contribute to firmwide legal strategy and thought leadership in appellate law
- Participate in mentorship and support a culture of professional development
- Uphold the firm’s inclusive, team-driven values
Requirements
- Proven experience at the partner level in appellate law
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and client relationships independently
- Excellent professional references and a strong record of job stability
- Willingness to collaborate in a national team environment
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
Skills
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Leadership abilities in a practice-building or management role
- Strategic legal thinking with high attention to detail
- Ability to foster client confidence and lead high-stakes litigation
- Team-oriented approach to legal service delivery
- Mandatory hours-based bonus up to $40,000 (earned at $2,500 for every 25 billable hours above 1,800 up to 2,200)
