Essential Job Summary::- Will perform full-cycle Accounts Payable services, including but not limited to:
- Actively participate and meet strict deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures as per company policy
- Review of invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
- Coding invoices and batches based on specific naming convention instructions for different types of payments
- Enter invoices, check requests, and wires into Microsoft Great Plains. Ensure accuracy of coding and input particularly as it relates to expense allocation
- Maintain files and records (T&E, Wires, Quick Checks, and Invoice Batches) for the purpose of ensuring availability of documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies in documentation and/or financial information
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
- Assist with annual audit and processes
Job Duties:
- Enter invoices into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure that data is entered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Sorting and organizing mail for data entry.
Skills/Attention to Detail, thoroughness, organization, teamwork, pro-active, vendor relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Related accounting software programs (D365 F&O, Tower, Transman)
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or associate degree required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus
- Must possess strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- 10-key by touch
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good at multi-tasking and meeting multiple deadlines, dependable, and can work effectively with other accounting team members
- Must have very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work in a changing environment.
- Possess problem solving skills
