Gear up for your role: You will lead and mentor a team of GL accountants, ensuring accurate and timely financial results, driving success through effective month-end close management, and delivering valuable insights to support company growth. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will oversee financial transactions while advancing the development, automation, and governance of accounting policies and procedures.

How you will drive success:

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of GL accountants with hands-on guidance, training, and growth opportunities aligned to company and department goals.
• Direct the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Ensure all close activities related to ASC 842 lease accounting are executed accurately, timely, and documented in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances and trends, providing actionable recommendations for cost control and revenue optimization in partnership with FP&A.
• Manage internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely responses to inquiries.
• Leverage the Workday Financials platform to automate processes, enabling the team to focus on analysis, exceptions, and continuous innovation.
• Build, document, and optimize accounting policies to improve governance, efficiency, and internal controls.

Under the hood what you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP with demonstrated experience in ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Experience managing a high volume of data, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH).
• Workday Financials experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and both written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
