ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:
Baptist Urgent Care operates 10 locations across Tennessee and Mississippi and is affiliated with Urgent Team, a leading independent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers deliver quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations under various brands.

Our walk-in centers are open seven days a week, providing a range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, along with occupational health and wellness care. The centers operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All Baptist Urgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers, recognized by the Urgent Care Association for our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive service offerings.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician or Radiology Technician will play a vital role in providing patient care by greeting patients, activating patient files, and supporting both patients and medical staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties represent the core expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

• Warmly greet patients upon entering the waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room.
• Maintain consistent communication with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient concerns proactively, while recognizing and escalating emergency situations as needed.
• Ensure timely follow-up on lab and x-ray results, prioritizing urgent communications.
• Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when required.
• Accurately record patient vital signs and medical history, including medications and allergies.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the direct supervision of the provider.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, while adhering to established safety and care protocols, including radiation protection practices.
• Monitor equipment functionality, promptly reporting any issues to the Regional Operation Manager or on-duty provider.
• Complete all necessary documentation relating to patient visits accurately and promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in examination rooms as needed.
• Follow infection control guidelines and uphold patient confidentiality standards.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical, and laboratory procedures based on training and under provider supervision.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To qualify for this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• A Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent background.
• A valid State License to perform X-Rays.
• BLS Certification.
