SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Weekend Radiology Technician to join our Imaging and Diagnostics department. With a competitive starting pay of $26.01/hour, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and additional weekend shift differentials, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!

About the Role:
As a Weekend Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your duties will include:

• Explaining procedural steps to patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
• Transporting patients to and from imaging areas and preparing them for exams.
• Maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
• Administering contrast media as part of diagnostic procedures.
• Observing patients during exams and reporting any irregularities.
• Submitting high-quality images and correctly labeling patient data.
• Monitoring and maintaining equipment functionality.
• Assuring a clean, organized workspace in the imaging department.
• Occasionally performing limited CT procedures when necessary.
• Demonstrating a commitment to safety and professionalism at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

We require you to have an Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program. You must also possess ARRT-R certification within 6 months of hire. While no previous experience is necessary, your readiness to learn and apply best practices in radiology will be highly valued.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant mobility, standing, and walking.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move patients or equipment as needed.
• Capability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Adherence to various tasks that may require bending, reaching, and manual dexterity.

Additional Requirements:
You must obtain basic life support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and meet all state licensing requirements based on your location.
