Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 trauma environment with ARRT, IEMA Radiography License, and Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital radiology department serving a Level 1 trauma center
• Adult and diverse patient population
• Day shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 3 days per week, with backup call rotation
• Perform radiographic imaging procedures including use of portable radiography equipment and C-arm in patient rooms, ICU, and surgery
• Epic EMR system experience required
• Position and immobilize patients, operate and adjust imaging equipment, and use radiation safety measures to ensure staff and patient safety
• Assist radiologists with routine fluoroscopic and invasive procedures
• Perform quality control activities and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and report inventory deficiencies as needed
• Provide guidance to students in general radiology procedures
• Courtesy and professionalism in all guest relations and telephone interactions are expected
• No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from facility
• Return time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning

Requirements

• Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
• IEMA Radiography License for Illinois required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant radiology technologist experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma setting required
• Documented experience with Epic charting system
