Amazon internships across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Start dates for our internships in this posting include the following periods: Winter (Starts January/February 2026), Summer (Starts May/June 2026), Fall (Starts August/September 2026).

As a UX Research Intern you will need to think strategically, be creative, and negotiate design solutions in relation to business goals. Help collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments. You will identify and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research and help advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a UX Research Intern you will/may:

• Define and execute a comprehensive research plan.
• Identify best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
• Design, conduct, and analyze results from 1-3 studies including usability lab studies, remote research, field studies, and survey design.
• Identify best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
