Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a MD or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Handle laboring mothers and newborns within a large facility setting
• Assignment is 8 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts required as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Perform comprehensive care for laboring mothers and immediate newborn needs
• Adhere to a 60-mile radius rule; local candidates not accepted for this assignment
• Scrub attire required while working on the unit

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience in facilities with 500+ beds required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM
