Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650 (Southern Maryland healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, Friday & Saturday nights)
• Unit: Emergency Department (44 beds, 30 rooms, daily census ~120)
• Orientation: 36 hours (orientation every Monday)
• Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,570 - $1,680

ER RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Community hospital nursing experience
• Patient ratio experience: 1:4-6
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to adults and children in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assessment, and emergency treatment for a wide range of acute conditions
• Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and provide conscious sedation as needed
• Utilize advanced clinical skills: telemetry, ventilator management, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Participate in ongoing nursing education and complete required modules prior to and during orientation
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
