Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT (R), ARRT (M), and at least 2 years of mammography experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a dedicated mammography unit
• Day shifts: Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• No weekends, no floating, and no on-call requirements
• Work involves performing a variety of mammography exams for breast disease detection and diagnosis
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience preferred
• Patient population consists primarily of women requiring breast imaging
• Dress code requires pewter scrubs
• Responsible for performing all mammography imaging and assisting in early detection of breast diseases
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Modules required and completed during the first 8 hours of orientation
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared before consideration; changes after submission will not be accepted
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
• Must comply with all vaccination and compliance protocols as required by state and facility

Requirements

• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mammography required
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Proficient in mammographic imaging techniques and diagnostic procedures
• Ability to complete PA fingerprints and Childline clearances as required
• References and copies of certifications must be provided
• Must be able to complete compliance labs within 48 hours of signing
