Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years’ experience and IR expertise for a combo IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP lab role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combo lab covering interventional radiology, cardiology, vascular, and EP cases with approximately 80% IR procedures
• Adult and geriatric patient population, including PPM and ICD device implants
• Day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts
• Call required twice a week for two weeks each month, with one 48-hour call weekend per month
• Weekend work is required every third weekend
• Call team consists of three staff members including an RN
• No holiday RTO permitted and no floating required
• Orientation is 40-80 hours on unit, starting directly on the unit until DIMENSIONS training is completed
• Special equipment used includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Pneumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound, IABP, and Impella
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Assist providers with diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures and scrub/circulate as needed
• Medication administration is performed by RN only
• Scrubs are provided
• RTO is not permitted after booking; no holiday RTO allowed and no RTO during the first week of assignment
• Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No floating required for this assignment
• Fatigue policy restricts working more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours in a week
• Prior employees of the facility must have a 12-month gap before applying
• Local candidates within 50 miles will be offered a local pay rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab or related experience with strong IR skills (90% IR caseload)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Certification as ARRT or RCIS required; advanced ARRT, RCES or RCIS with Med experience preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate IR and Cath Lab procedures, and perform basic telemetry
• Experience performing EKG lead placement preferred
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes for STEMI
• License required if applicable (NC or Compact accepted; pending at submission is allowed but must be in-hand at start)
• References from recent manager or supervisor required at start
