Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (07:30 – 16:00) 

Contract Length: 13–20 Weeks 

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week 

Minimum Experience: 2 Years

Overview: A high-acuity cardiovascular lab in Salisbury, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13–20 week contract. This role involves assisting providers with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in a hybrid lab setting. Candidates must be comfortable with structured call rotations and must have strong interventional radiology (IR) experience, as 90% of procedures are IR-based.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab or IR
• Certifications: ARRT or RCIS, BLS, ACLS
• Skills: Scrub, circulate, telemetry
• Must be able to start directly on the unit prior to Dimensions training
• No holiday RTO permitted; all time off must be submitted with initial application
• Interview required prior to offer; availability within 72 hours of submission is necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
• EKG lead placement experience

Call & Weekend Requirements:

• Weekday call: 16:00 – 07:30 next morning (twice weekly for two weeks per month)
• Weekend call: Friday 16:00 – Monday 07:30 (one weekend per month)
• No call the week following call weekend
• Callback time: 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback varies by procedure
• Weekend work required every third weekend
• Call team includes three staff members, one of whom is an RN

Unit Details:

• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
• Diagnoses: Vice implants including PPM and ICD
• Procedures: Cardiac stent placement, catheterizations, IABP, Impella, PCI, EP studies, vascular interventions
• Equipment: GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Angio Jet, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound, and more
• Medication administration performed by RN only
• Scrubs provided
• No floating required
