Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:30)

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and ensure instruments and equipment are prepared and functional.
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist in transporting them to and from the operating room.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Support operating room turnover between cases, including cleaning and preparing the room.
• Participate in emergency surgeries and on-call assignments as scheduled.

Required Skills & Experience:

• CST certification (required unless the candidate has worked as a surgical tech in NY prior to 2015)
• Active New York State Surgical Tech certification (required)
• At least 1 year of recent experience in an operating room setting
• EPIC charting system experience (required)
• Willingness to float as needed
• Availability for 1 on-call shift per week and 1 weekend per month
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be located more than 75 miles from the facility
