Transport Lead
This initiative focuses on delivering Transport Management and Interconnect Services to support the expansion of Verizon's transport network in the Florida Sub-Market. The supplier will assist with projects aimed at enhancing network hubs, specifically in support of:
- EBH (Enhanced Backhaul)
- Dark Fiber
- Next-Generation MLS
- Microwave Network Infrastructure
The ideal candidate will play a hybrid role, supporting both technical engineering and project management functions. They will collaborate closely with Verizon Wireless Project Leaders and Interconnect Engineers to ensure successful execution and delivery of transport network expansion projects.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Partner with Verizon Wireless Project Leaders and Project Managers from project initiation through completion.
- Provide technical oversight and project management support for transport network expansion efforts.
- Assist Interconnect Engineers with planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and project management teams to ensure alignment and progress.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills/Technologies:
- Strong technical background in transport engineering
- Experience with Granite (network inventory system)
- Familiarity with Fuze (project tracking and collaboration tool)
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Verizon
- Familiarity with Verizon's internal systems and processes
