Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are working with a food manufacturing plant in South Orlando that is looking for qualified Industrial Maintenance Technicians for the 2nd or 3rd shift.

***Bilingual Spanish required.***

Description:

The Maintenance Technician must have basic knowledge of Industrial Mechanical Systems, Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems, Electrical and Control Systems, and Welding (TIG, MIG). Must be able to work as a team or individually. Must comply with all company safety standards (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, ETC.) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Ensure all assigned daily industrial maintenance tasks are completed.

Ensure production lines are in good mechanical condition.

Assist other teams (Production, Quality, when necessary).

Always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Practices.

Set up, visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

Listen for unusual machine or equipment noises to detect faults and discuss machine performance variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair them.

Disassemble defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machinery parts.

Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.

***Must be able to troubleshoot and work with PLC systems (Allen Bradley).***

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and more than 2 years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or in the food industry.

Must be proficient in at least three of the following areas:

- Industrial Mechanical Systems (Ovens, Mixers, Ingredient Handling/Delivery, Product Transportation/Packaging Systems).

- Industrial Electrical Systems (120 V-480 V, Three-Phase).

- Low Voltage Control Systems (24 V-120 V), experience with PLC and VFD (troubleshooting, installation, basic programming).

- Welding/Fabrication (TIG, MIG).

- HVAC Systems, Industrial Refrigeration Systems.

Building Maintenance (basic carpentry, drywall, plumbing).

Ability to work effectively as a team and interact productively with staff at all levels and external contractors.

Must have your own hand tools; the company provides workshop tools and equipment.

Ability to operate forklifts, Genie lifts or scissor lifts.

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.

Schedule:

2nd shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM

3rd shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM

***Due to current high production, weekend work is required. You will have two days off during the week***

Salary:

$25-28 per hour, depending on experience
