As the Tax Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

• Be responsible for tax compliance and return preparation, including applicable research related to specific tax compliance issues
• Work under frequent supervision

Black & Veatch's Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns
• File original and/or annual tax registrations
• File property tax listings and filings
• Maintain track of current compliance and ensures all tax returns are filed in a timely manner and are organized for record

Planning and Research:

• Research tax issues
• Responsible for understanding client projects
• Assist with special projects

Dispute and Resolutions:

• Assist with documentation for tax inquiries
• Retrieve information for tax exams

Accounting for Taxes:

• Prepare tax provision calculations

Primary Internal Clients:

• Primary internal clients are finance managers and/or finance supervisors
• May assist with requests from other departments, business lines and entities as needed with tax issues

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Basic
• Microsoft Excel, Intermediate
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Systems and Reporting
• Knowledge of Black and Veatch Systems, Basic
• Knowledge of percent complete accounting, Basic
• General Accounting knowledge, Basic
• Knowledge of Financial Statement analysis, Basic
• Knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and/or International Tax, Basic
• Tax research skills, basic

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
• Typically 2+ years' related experience
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
