Location: light hybrid office; typically 4-6 days/month in office

- Manage and maintain Windows server environments, including server installation, configuration, and administration.
- Implement and optimize Active Directory services, Group Policies, and domain services.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security and stability.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Design and implement cloud solutions for scalability, redundancy, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor cloud resources, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical data and systems.
- Deploy, configure, and manage VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Monitor virtual infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using VMware technologies.
- Develop and implement system monitoring tools and procedures to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and configuration management tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve escalated system issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years experience
- 4 years in system engineering roles with expertise in Windows environments, Exchange, backup solutions, and VMware virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP protocols, and system security principles.
- Experience with backup technologies (e.g., Commvault).
- Proficiency in VMware technologies and virtualization management tools.
- Experience administering Linux-based systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
- Familiarity with configuring and optimizing web servers, database servers, and applications running on Linux.
- Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS), capacity planning, performance tuning, and techniques such as data encryption, compression, and deduplication.
- Certifications such as RHCE (Linux) or storage-specific credentials.
