Utility Superintendent

We are hiring for a Utility Superintendent to support our growing underground utility operations. These roles are critical to leading field teams across the Southeast, with a focus on gravity sewer installation and coastal utility work. Candidates must be hands-on leaders with a strong background in underground utilities and a passion for mentoring crews.

Location: Charleston, SC or Ninety Six, SC

Type: Full-Time | Onsite

Salary: $80,000 $100,000 + Bonus

Start Date: September/October 2025

Travel: Required (80% of projects across SC, NC, GA) Home on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise underground utility projects across SC, NC, and GA.
• Operate and oversee use of 300+ class excavators
• Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with crews, clients, and leadership.
• Utilize MS Office Suite and Bluebeam for project documentation.
• Maintain a clean driving record and active license.

Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years total experience in underground utility construction.
• 5+ years in a Foreman or Superintendent role.
• Experience with gravity sewer systems (preferred).
• Strong communicator and team leader.
• Comfortable with coastal and water-related utility work.
• Based in or open to relocating to Charleston or Ninety Six, SC.
• Willing to travel during the week and return home on weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 30-hour certification or other construction credentials.
• Experience mentoring crews from laborer to operator to foreman.
• Familiarity with career progression in field operations.

• Salary: $80K$100K (based on experience)
