Job title: Sr. Estimator/Preconstruction Manager

Position Overview
The Sr. Estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase of projects, providing accurate cost estimates and analyses to ensure successful project execution. This position requires a deep understanding of construction processes and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals, particularly in the healthcare, K-12, education, commercial, and life sciences sectors.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects from conceptual through to final design stages.
• Conduct thorough analyses of drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to assess project scope and requirements.
• Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain insights into project challenges and scope.
• Prepare and maintain a database of historical costs for estimating purposes.
• Assist in developing project budgets and financial forecasting.
• Support the procurement process by evaluating subcontractor proposals and providing recommendations.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Experience with preconstruction services in healthcare, K-12 education, commercial, and life sciences projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
