Job Description

USRM Distribution Tech is hiring a Solution Architect responsible for establishing and providing leadership to the technology strategy and technology roadmaps for the Sales and Agency Support (S&AS) Portfolio. Works closely with Solutions Engineers and teams on engineering choices and how they align to enterprise well-architected framework. Develop specifications for new and existing products/services, applications and service offerings. Provides technical oversight and architecture/engineering solutions to large, strategic, complex system and application development projects, usually at the domain and product level.

The Sales & Agency Support portfolio delivers innovative technological solutions and platforms that empower USRM’s distribution channels to operate efficiently and achieve profitable growth. Through agency and partner relationship management, enhanced independent agency experience, and streamlined sales information management, we provide the foundation for our sales leader’s success.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of the technology strategy and technology roadmaps that enable the business, usually for a specific business capability domain.
• Provides consultation and collaborates with Engineering Managers, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range product features.
• Educates and drives adoption of the well-architected framework in order to promote Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization into cultural norms.
• Contributes to design and development of architecture (integrated process, methodology, framework, software/applications, data, information, and technology) scalable solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
• Influences and partners with the Product Owners and engineering teams to align the technical design and strategy with the product roadmap.
• Connects Solution Engineering with Technology and Portfolio Architecture work to ensure sound roadmaps which deliver business value.
• Responsible for prototyping complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologies.
• Maintains collaborative and strategic partnerships between customers, vendors, business partners, and technology teams.
• Shares expertise to ensure that teams are continuously improving and learning together to meet current and future engineering and architecture needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years of related experience
• Knowledgeable in software engineering languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies
• In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles
• In-depth understanding of layered solutions and designs; in-depth understanding of shared software concepts and product features, as well as security minded
• Proficient in all product and system components of technical architecture
• In-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies; in-depth understanding of global business and technological trends and the financial services industry
• Strong influencing and consensus building skills, and the adaptability to respond to change quickly
• Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization with diverse backgrounds
• Highly developed negotiation, consensus building & influencing skills, facilitation and the adaptability to respond to change quickly
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills

Desired Technical Skills

• Salesforce Financial Services Clout (FSC) includes experience with Salesforce Connect, Bulk API, Platform Events, Omnistudio, Hyperforce, DevOps Center, Security Center, and Shield
• Salesforce Agentforce experience, OpenAI or equivalent Large Language Model experience.
• GraphQL, Kubernetes, Github Actions, Spring Boot, React.JS, Kafka
• Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) experience
