Leidos is searching for a Load Balancing Network Engineer SME to support a significant enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, you will implement, oversee, and maintain load balancer technologies within a global enterprise spanning multiple networks. Your responsibilities will include adopting new technologies, optimizing performance, and applying critical system patches, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will collaborate closely with your teammates to fulfill mission requirements for both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the operational integrity of Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and PKI authentication on F5 appliances.
• Ensure that load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up per customer policies.
• Notify customers about impending PKI certificate expirations and assist with necessary renewals.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot load-balanced IP address spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support for troubleshooting service outages to the IT Operations Center.
• Develop and enhance technical documentation and operational procedures to assist IT Operations personnel with troubleshooting and triage.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• Solid understanding of technologies for monitoring and managing F5 appliances.
• Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Skilled in creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• Ability to work independently supporting customer requirements.
• Experience collaborating with team members to define requirements and solutions.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.

Certifications

• Must meet DoDM certification requirements, including Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or equivalent.
• F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification is mandatory.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
• Equivalent education may be considered: an Associate's degree with 14 years of experience or High School diploma with 16 years of experience can substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance

• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required or TS/SCI with a willingness to obtain and maintain the clearance.

Pay Range: $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
