Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is forming a new organization focused on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. Responsibilities

• As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
• Effective presence and ability to communicate and present forward looking plans to the highest levels of executives
• Strong technical knowledge, which encompasses understanding data center systems, cloud technologies, and managing engineering resources
• Experience leading 24/7 operations teams
• Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through other internal and external organizations and individuals
• Strong leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to apply independent and sound business judgment to solve complex issues
• Works independently with minimal supervision required and can lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment, experience, and leadership skills
• Define technology and operational strategy and supporting roadmaps
• Manage the design, development, and operations of the team
• Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team
• Drive continuous improvement through the ability to see and understand the current state and future state
• Ability to translate and message impactful business stories that drive action
• Able to thrive in ambiguous situations, identify/create process, and governance where needed
• Own and drive strategies that optimize operational performance
• Identify, influence, and support key decision points that optimize customer experience
• Partner and maintain key relationships with Operations, Support, Product Management and Engineering organizations
• Develop and monitor metrics to measure key performance indicators and business performance
• Partner with teams to develop tools, dashboards and automation to deliver customer-centric innovation safely
• 10+ years of experience developing software in relevant areas
• 5+ years of experience delivering and operating big-data application services and analytics, preferred
• Experience leading high performing engineering teams
• 10+ years leading complex technical/ engineering programs
• Relevant work experience in program and project management
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Experience in managing large-scale, big-data focused projects, preferred
• Experience in managing network and security expectations, requirements, and operations, preferred
• Experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems, preferred
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus
• Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment
• Experience with Java programming language, preferred

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
