School-Based Support Specialist
Compensation: $23-$27/hr (based on experience and skill set)
Schedule: Full-time; hours vary depending on student age group

We are seeking dedicated School-Based Support Specialists to provide essential support to students with academic, behavioral, and personal care needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of students across various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Assist with classroom instruction, behavior management, and daily routines.
• Accurately collect and report behavioral and academic data.
• Utilize Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) de-escalation techniques to maintain safety.
• Provide hands-on support including toileting and diapering, as needed.
• Engage with students in diverse settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and during transitions.

Qualifications:

• A passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam, at least 48 college credit hours, or an associate degree (or higher).
• Comfortable with toileting/diapering responsibilities.
• Experience in special education or behavioral settings is a plus.
