GENERAL PURPOSE: The Regional Logistics Manager oversees 4-5 Cross Docks and drives operational, financial and loss prevention goals, which is executed by influencing 3rd party logistics providers without direct authority. This is to be accomplished through detailed knowledge of Ross operations and managing the P&L of each Cross Dock that all have unique complexities. This position balances service to Ross customers, while ensuring that budgets are adhered to while also protecting company assets. The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in work experience preferred
• 5-10 years manager level transportation experience to include outbound retail deliveries.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels and departments both within and outside the company.
• High-Level working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
• Knowledge of current transportation regulations and future regulatory direction
• Skillful negotiator with strong ability to influence
• Preferred: Bachelor or MBA Degree (Transportation, logistics or Business related)
• Experience with direct P&L responsibilities
• 10-15 years prior transportation management experience - outbound retail
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a indoor facility. The nature of the job will require time within warehouse operation as well as some time outdoors of our Cross Dock facilities. Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; most travel is planned, involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. Travel required up to 75% This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
