Radiology Technologist/Scheduler

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week as determined by the supervisor between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and update accurate patient information including name, address, and insurance details.
• Verify insurance on the day of service.
• Manage scheduling of radiology procedures efficiently.
• Understand medical terminology and radiology procedures.
• Maintain an organized work queue for pending actions such as referrals and appointments.
• File, fax, and manage medical records appropriately.
• Confirm and schedule patient appointments, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
• Respond to incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism.
• Conduct timely follow-ups for patients regarding specialist appointments and lab results.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve specific healthcare goals.
• Adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in care planning alongside a multidisciplinary team in accordance with each patient’s plan of care.
• Stay updated on relevant medical requirements pertinent to your role.
• Assist in training and support across different locations when needed.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
• 1+ years in customer service or healthcare experience.
• Proficiency in multiple computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Willingness to travel to other offices for coverage if required.
• Ability to manage work tasks efficiently in a busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting, including scheduling and checking patients in/out.
• Experience with electronic health records (EPIC).
• Familiarity with radiology practices and medical terminology.
• Experience with scheduling software.
