Location: Poughkeepsie, NY 10549 

• Scheduled: 8 Hours in Day, 5 Days in week
• Shift: 8:00am - 5:00 pm, M-F

Hourly compensation: $40.00 - $ 50.00 Per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate X-ray and related imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Follow physician orders to perform specific imaging studies.
• Adjust imaging equipment and select appropriate exposure factors based on patient size and area of interest.
• Protect patients, staff, and self by using radiation safety measures (lead shielding, proper exposure techniques, ALARA principles).
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and diagnostic value before submission.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) and picture archiving system (PACS).
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate radiologic equipment regularly.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety regulations at all times.

Qualification:

• ARRT Certification or NYS Radiologic Technologist License Required.
