Baptist Urgent Care is searching for passionate, skilled, and empathetic Radiology Technicians/Medical Assistants to enhance our dedicated healthcare team. Full-time and PRN positions available!

Baptist Urgent Care operates multiple locations across Tennessee and Mississippi and is affiliated with Urgent Team, one of the largest independent urgent care providers in the Southeast. Baptist Urgent Care offers convenient walk-in services with treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers, demonstrating our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Technician/Medical Assistant will deliver exceptional patient care by greeting patients, managing files, and providing vital support to both patients and medical staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Warmly welcome patients as they enter the waiting area, exam, or x-ray rooms.
• Effectively communicate with patients about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient inquiries and identify urgent situations to seek appropriate help.
• Provide timely updates on lab and x-ray results and conduct urgent follow-up calls.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out when needed.
• Document patient vital signs, medical history, current medications, and allergies accurately.
• Support patient transfers and assist with provider-supervised procedures.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure all equipment is functional and report malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or the on-duty provider.
• Complete necessary documentation related to patient visits in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain and stock examination rooms as required.
• Follow all infection control protocols and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other medical procedures as authorized by the provider.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To be considered, candidates must possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent practical experience.
• A valid State License to perform X-Rays.
• BLS Certification.
