Quality Engineer (Site Lead)

CACI is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Los Gatos, CA. At CACI, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Our products include both optical and RF systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems. CACI Los Gatos has a small team of highly experienced engineers and scientists who work in tight-knit groups on state-of-the-art projects while enjoying a good work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Support customer audits as required.
• Act as Chair for the MRB process, participating in all aspects of the Root Cause and Corrective Action process (initiation, investigation, implementation, review).
• Identify and implement process improvements to meet program-specific, and corporate goals.
• Conduct in-process and final inspection audits in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed.
• Conduct regular walk-through audits of lab and production areas.
• Create and conduct training on quality assurance topics for all company personnel, as appropriate.
• Participate in the site's calibration system.

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic, and/or opto-mechanical product quality assurance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Excellent work habits (proactiveness, responsible, organized, self-motivated, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
• Familiarity with the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
• Familiarity with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
• Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
• Be able to work first or second shift.

Desired:

• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications.
• Familiarity with AS9100 a plus.
• Prior experience delivering hardware for space-flight programs.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $94,400 - $198,200
