Senior NAVWAR Engineer

Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Enterprise Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) team in El Segundo, California. SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise support to the US Space Force.

As a member of our PNT SE&I team, you'll work in a high-paced environment with government personnel and system developers to ensure that Global Positioning System (GPS) remains the gold standard for positioning, navigation, and timing. A successful candidate will collaborate and communicate with the SE&I leadership team to ensure NAVWAR processes and products are delivered with quality and professionalism.

Major duties of this position include:

Provide engineering expertise to the team to accomplish:

  Support to the NAVWAR Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

  n

• n

  Support of GPS enterprise testing.

  n
n
• n

  Support of PNT Enterprise: capabilities, requirements, architectures, concepts, designs, and technologies.

  n

• n

  Implementation of Y-code and M-code cryptographic algorithms.

  n
n
• n

  Validation of National Security Agency (NSA) operational key material.

  n
n
• n

  Provide guidance and technical support for Crypto Management and NAVWAR.

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with the government team, other program government leads, external organizations, and prime contractors.

  n
n
• n

  Actively participate as a Subject Matter Expert in the GPS requirements process.

Qualifications

n
• n

  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Science with 14+ years of overall experience.

  n

• n

  Active Top Secret clearance.

  n
n
• n

  GPS experience.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating software.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated understanding of System Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated experience working with or for the government.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated experience writing and delivering technical documents.

  n
n

Desired:

• n

  Active TS/SCI clearance.

• n

  Experience with MS Visual Studio C++, Python, and MATLAB.

• n

  Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations.

  Experience working specifically on a Systems Engineering and Integration contract.

• n

  Experience and familiarity working with Space Systems Command.

  Experience and familiarity working with cryptography and cryptographic systems.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
