Resource Specialist
The Resource Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers by providing training and assistance with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and the resource scheduling system throughout the Bronson system. This position is responsible for the full spectrum of AV equipment, virtual meeting technology, and the resource scheduling system for the Bronson system. Responsibilities include researching new AV technology, as well as supporting training, troubleshooting, and conducting preventive maintenance on existing equipment and software. This position works closely with Bronson Information Technology Department to select, maintain, and train end users on the audio visual equipment and software to support system virtual meetings. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Min Req:
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years of successful progressive experience in the area of A/V equipment virtual meeting software equipment/software vendor communication or equivalent applicable experience required.
-Bachelor's degree preferred.
-Must have training or be willing to receive training in AV equipment such as Biamp and Crestron.
-Valid driver's license.
-Advanced knowledge in software WebEx video editing Polycom TurningTechnology scheduling system Microsoft office audio/video conferencing system resource scheduling other software as assigned.
-Must have advanced skills on troubleshooting and maintenance of AV equipment.
-Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Records and edits video conferencing/recording.
Details:
Ability to create, edit, and distribute videos.
Establish partnership with Information Technology.
Oversees relationship with contract vendor for AV equipment.
Active pursuit of advancing technology.
Assists with technology planning for the Bronson System.
Ability to create system documentation, project plans, and education materials.
General familiarity of end user business practices concepts and terminology sufficient to support the AV videoconference and live event equipment in a healthcare delivery environment.
Expertise in project management with demonstrated ability to bring assignments to satisfactory conclusion according to defined parameters and change control quality and system performance methods and metrics.
Ability to travel to all Bronson locations.
Ability to work with end user to problem solve in a short timeframe.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and courteous customer service.
Must be dependable.
Exceptional customer service skills with superior oral and written communication skills necessary to consult with customers, manage projects, conduct presentations, and tactfully manage sensitive situations.
Must be able to interact with end-users to gather the information necessary to diagnose, address, and document their audio/visual issues.
Expected to demonstrate some leadership skills and to serve as role models within the organization.
Work which is constantly and exceptionally tiring mentally and/or visually.
Conditions exist more than 90 of the work time.
Involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e. 20 pounds or less), and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients.
Minor straining or fatiguing positions must be assumed and some fatiguing physical motions are required.
Serves as an escalation point within Bronson system for troubleshooting and resolving AV-related problems.
Assists organization wide Hardware and AV Support teams with setups and serving as an escalation point to those teams.
Conducts AV equipment testing and assessments, analyzing needs, making recommendations, and obtaining quotes.
Monitors workflow, external connection requests, and team escalation.
